Vice Versa // Brow Off!
As I was looking through my collection, I came to realize that I had many similar products (it's an addiction, I know) that were comparable. So I wanted to make the most of those items and will be doing product face offs!! I'll be giving you pics and my opinion on what's the same, differences and which one I preferred.
For the first face off, I wanted to review my most fav and vital products: brow pencils. There are so many out there that are of different price ranges and formulas so there's really no "right or wrong" one. Whatever you use, as long as you love. The 3 that we will compare in this review are:
NYX vs MAC vs Anastasia Beverly Hills
NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Brunette ($9.99)
NYX always does a great job with their duplication items and this pencil is no different. It's made to easily transfer to the face and isn't too dry on the consistency side. Made with a self-sharpening twist-up, it's a nice pencil. A plus: it comes with a spoolie on the opposite side! A great starter pencil to decide if you want to use that or another product on your brows.
MAC Eyebrows in Spiked ($16.50)
My old faithful! Call me biased, but this pencil can do no wrong. I love how its formulated to where its not too creamy but yet glides on and can be drawn to mimic brow hairs very efficiently. While it doesn't have the built-in spoolie like the other 2 (MAC, y'all need to upgrade!) it still pulls its weight with sheer performance.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Chocolate (23.00)
So...with this being an item that the blogs and everyone raves about, I was effin excited to cop it, even with it being expensive! I may be in the slim margin, but I don't understand what the hoopla is about. The crayon was a bit dry so it made it difficult to manipulate on my brows, aka it looks ashy. I literally had to drag it across my brows for it to transfer! Also, the angled pencil was limiting as to how I could hold the pencil so I was miffed about that. Such high hopes but I do have to list this one as my least fav. :( I wanted to love it so much though!!!
So in the brow face off, today's winner is: MAC!
Have any of you used any of these products? What was your impression of them? Why did I get an ashy brow pencil?
